They've got Twitter on the brain as if it's the 2nd coming - and still fail to realise that they're actually publicising a loss-making outfit!

What really bugs me is the media taking it for granted that everybody "tweets." It's just part of the language now; another way of saying something - "tweeting." There might be a couple of things I'm addicted to, but thank God 'social networking' isn't one of them. Twitter is so much twaddle as far as I'm concerned.

It's basically saying: out of the 63 percent of Dutch who know of Twitter, only about 3 percent uses it. But among the ones that do, there can be such a thing as tweeting too hard. As a result, some people who are sick of Twitter, turn to anti-twitter websites.
After all this, some twitter-phenomena are being mocked (purplepants), but we're also informed of Historical Tweets (which is sorta funny).
Thanks by the way for being anti-twitter and blogging about it. I am a journalist and was confronted today with this new media monkey who got on my ass for not using twitter, for it would 'stand in the way of my professional career as a writer'. I think you know how I responded, since we share the same opinion: people with REAL LIVES and REAL STORIES are not on twitter every darn second (and these people have NO limits, they are addicted to their tweets and notice NOT what happens around them). Using technological ways to 'improve' your social networking does have its advantages, it's just so bloody sad how people use them as replacements for actual contact, field work and true interaction.

There is a lot of stupid blogs out there. This is just one of them. So because I write about hating twitter, I actually like it? Maybe you have something there? Perhaps I am interested and intrigued by twitter, but in no way does that mean that I love it, or even like it as a friend.

Blogs are really only fun when people read/find them. There is a lot of people searching for twitter out there, and I just want them to know that there is a segment that thinks they are twittarded. Thanks for the comment!
